People perceive that star kids often have easy entry in Bollywood. Courtesy their glorious family background and contacts, often star kids get films and ample of opportunities to make it big in the industry. But Director David Dhawan’s son Varun feels that though you get an easy access to the industry but eventually it is only your talent that takes you places. The 24-year-old Varun is making his acting debut with Karan Johar’s directorial film ‘Student of The Year’ and he feels that he has earned the film for himself.

“I agree it was much easier for me because I have a platform but you may know many people in the industry and they will ask you to come to their office, offer coffee, but not a movie. So if Karan didn’t see anything in me he wouldn’t have cast me. Being a star son only doesn’t help,” Varun said.
