Aamir Khan not yet ready to commit to ‘Satyamev Jayate 2′July 12, 2012
Aamir Khan addressed the media on his talk show ‘Satyamev Jayate’. Aamir focused on the issue of female foeticide at the press conference which was held at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. Aamir expressed that the act of female foeticide should be treated no less than a murder, and he is concerned that this issue might only get worse if action is not taken against this topic. He further shared that he was totally in support of the proposal by the Maharashtra government to severely punish those individuals who are involved with this offence.
On a positive note, Aamir shared that he was happy that people were emotionally connecting with the show, which has managed to touch the heart millions; and that although he and his ‘Satyamev Jayate’ team have managed to bring to address various issues with his show, there are various issues that still need to be brought to the might of the general public.
On the second season of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ , Aamir expressed that at this point he was not going to make any commitments as he and his team are currently focused on the remaining 3 (of the total 10) episodes of the current season. However, as a closing note Aamir shared his interest of taking this further.
